The PAVE project (Participatory Video as an Educational Tool for Communities Development), an ERASMUS+ project, aims to educate adults from different communities and social environments to use the participatory video method as a tool for the development of the communities in which they live, through better communication with authorities and public institutions.
Between November 22-24, 2022, the first transnational meeting of the partners of this project, ARIPA, KITTEA and TRAINING to MALTA, took place in Valletta, Malta, on which the foundations of several important components of the project were laid
Between January 4-9, 2023, the event of the PAVE project (Participatory Video as an Educational Tool for Communities Development) took place in Dragasani, Romania, during which the members of each partner of the project learned, through various theoretical and practical activities, the way in which a participatory video is generated, from the initial identification of the problems, to the generation of the video and sending it to the decision-makers.

Ioanna is from Greece and in the video below she shows us an example of how we can address an institution, with the help of a participatory video, to expose the problems and request their resolution to those in charge. We need to learn together to use technology constructively to develop the communities in which we live.
Marian Rosca, from the ARIPA partner of the PAVE project, shows in a short video how people’s requests can be addressed to decision-makers in order to be resolved. In the present case it is about a hospital.
On 20.06.2023, the training activity of more than 20 people involved in activities with adults was carried out on how to use the participatory video method to develop the communities in which we live.

Following the implementation of the PAVE project, the “PAVE MANUAL” – PARTICIPATORY VIDEO AS AN EDUCATIONAL TOOL FOR COMMUNITIES DEVELOPMENT – PAVE HANDBOOK resulted, with the help of which anyone can learn how the participatory video method can be used for community development.

On 27.10.2023, we presented the results of the PAVE project. The event took place in Romania, the host country of the project’s coordinating organization, ARIPA – Association Responsible for Informing and Protecting the Insured, an event attended online by members of the partner organizations from Greece and Malta, AFOI PAPADOKOSTAKI OE and TRAINING TO MALTA. A successful event!
